Veterans Day is an opportunity to honor the men and women who have served in our nation’s armed forces and recognize the sacrifices they—and their families—have made. Military service can mean time away from loved ones, interrupted careers and years of adjustment that continue long after returning home. For military families, deployments can change routines and responsibilities, while the transition to civilian life can bring new challenges, questions and opportunities to find a new sense of normalcy. On November 11th, we recognize not only the service of our veterans, but also the families who have supported them along the way. Their experiences deserve to be heard, their sacrifices deserve to be acknowledged, and their service deserves our gratitude. To all who have served, and to the families who have stood beside them, thank you. We honor you 11/11 and every day. |
