Wellspring Financial Services can perform an analysis of your current investment portfolio, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRAs and 401(k) or other retirement accounts. We will provide you with specific buy, sell and hold recommendations based upon an analysis of your risk profile, stated investment goals, and tax considerations. Because we do not sell products or receive commissions or trails on any of your investments, we are able to provide you with an objective analysis of whether the investments you hold are the best ones for you, with the lowest management fees.
Asset Allocation and Investment Recommendations
Asset allocation involves dividing an investment portfolio among different asset categories, such as domestic and international stocks, bonds, and cash. Determining which mix of investments to hold in your portfolio is a very personal decision, and depends on your ability to tolerate the ups and downs of the market, and your timing for needing access to the money. We will help you determine your risk tolerance and time horizon, recommend an optimal combination of asset categories for that risk level, and also recommend the specific investments. Your job is to implement the plan, with our support and guidance.
For clients who are concerned about aligning their investments with their values, we can integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria into our review of your portfolio our investment recommendations. Please see our page on Socially Responsible Investment Strategies for further details.
Whether you are approaching retirement or just beginning to save, we can help you develop a plan for reaching your goals. We can determine whether your current schedule of saving and investing is likely to be adequate to fund your retirement, so that you can make informed financial decisions now. We take various contingencies into account in exploring the likelihood that your resources will allow you to attain the lifestyle you seek, and we identify actions to be taken to keep things on track. If you are nearing retirement, we can help you decide on timing for your Social Security or pension benefits, and how to receive income from your retirement savings in the most tax-efficient manner.
One of the best investments you can make is in a child's education. Whether you are planning ahead for a newborn or looking for a sound investment strategy to help your teen, we can help find the best and most tax-advantaged investment opportunities for you and your family.
Taxes affect virtually every financial decision we make. We can guide you toward the most tax advantageous strategies for saving, investing, and conducting financial transactions, often identifying potential tax savings you may have overlooked.
Anyone who owns assets has an estate. Upon a person's death, those assets must, by law, be properly distributed. Exactly which assets are distributed to whom depends on the estate plan. Planning for wealth during your lifetime and planning for its distribution upon your death really go hand in hand. Estate planning can assure continuing support and care for those you leave behind, or for realizing charitable goals you may have. We can help you think through some of the important decisions you need to make regarding your estate, and best to achieve any goals have for the financial assets you leave behind.
