Gayle began offering objective financial and investment advice to individuals and families in 1997, earning her certification marks as a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2001. Her educational assets include a Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from Occidental College in Los Angeles, a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), both from Portland State University, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
Trained as a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, Gayle owned a behavioral health firm before entering the financial services field in 1997. She spent 6 years working as a stock broker and registered investment advisory representative for a national firm before going to work for the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System. She is well acquainted with Oregon PERS member benefits, as well as the Federal Employees Retirement System and other public and private sector retirement plans. Gayle returned to private practice as a fee-only financial planner in 2007, and incorporated as Wellspring Financial Planning, LLC in 2010.
